Max I. Walker Uniform Rental Service announces that it has acquired Jacob's Corporation of Harlan, Iowa as a new uniform rental services customer. Sales Consultant Tom Brouwer worked with representatives at the manufacturing firm to determine their needs for uniform items, aprons and towels. After presenting information about Max I. Walker and how local vs. national uniform providers compare, Brouwer was able to successfully reach a vendor agreement, earning their business.
Jacob's previously used a well-known national uniform services provider, but made the switch to Max I. Walker Uniform Rental Service, which is family owned and locally operated, in May 2019. According to Julie Kruse, Accounts Payable Specialist, the company decided to change vendors for several reasons, including Max I. Walker's local reputation of providing good service and competitive pricing. Their previous uniform supplier did not honor the original pricing agreement and instead arbitrarily raised prices, which made budgeting difficult. The supplier also took too long, in Kruse's opinion, to resolve service issues. She is happy to report that Jacob's is not having these same issues now they they are being serviced by Max I. Walker.
The weekly deliveries are serviced by Route Service Representative Scot Marsh. Scot delivers clean work shirts, work pants and shorts, and aprons and towels each week to 20 employees working at two locations. "Scot is doing great!" Kruse said.
